Then again, this is the only flying unit in the roster of Slaanesh, so if you want the flexibility of that in siege battles, Chaos Furies can remain somewhat useful. The Chaos Furies can be useful for Slaanesh in the early game, but when you can field (Heart)Seekers, there is not much reason to keep the Chaos Furies in your army. Due to the lack of units with high armor, your frontline will be bolstered a lot by two or three Soul Grinders. Typically, the Soul Grinder covers a weakness in the roster of a faction, and for Slaanesh, this is no different. It also deals with high armor-piercing damage. Tthe Soul Grinder of Slaanesh is a bit more melee-focused, with high armor. With their magical attacks with high armor-piercing damage and Devastating Flanker ability, they work well in conjunction with Marauders. These Fiends are a good monstrous infantry unit to bolster your army's frontline. Of course, you should not attack War Bear Riders with them, but against most low- and mid-tier cavalry, they will be quite effective. ![]() For their cost, you will be surprised by how effective they can be against enemy cavalry, thanks to their bonus versus large units. Tzeentch units like Horrors and Flamers should be fielded for their impressive ranged firepower, and Tzeentchian heroes can bring incredible damage with their magical prowess. Meanwhile, Slaanesh's roster of swift, devastating flanking units like Hellstriders and Hellflayers can sweep around the sides to attack from the rear. The best God to pick to hold the frontline is a toss-up between Nurgle's Exalted Plaguebearers and Khorne's Exalted Bloodletters, the first for their survivability, and the second for their damage. Each of the four Gods' has a different specialty on the battlefield, and finding harmony between them is as important as it is for Grand Cathay. Although theming armies after individual Chaos Gods can provide some benefits, the best strategy is to combine their strengths into a greater whole. The Legion of Chaos can be a complicated force to command on the battlefield, as the massive amount of units they have access to makes army composition incredibly important. When a player takes a Settlement, they'll be able to dedicate it to one of the Gods, after which it will only be able to build recruitment buildings for the units of that God.Īdditionally, once players reach a certain level of Glory, they'll be able to permanently dedicate themselves to one God in particular, or to Chaos Undivided. The Daemonic Glory screen takes the place of the technology tree used by factions like the Great Orthodoxy, allowing players to unlock new units and buffs as they advance down the five Glory tracks.
